QUESTION: CAN I USE IT AS A VACUUM?

• This is definitely not a Vacume. It's just a shampooer and I recommend vacumeing really well before hand. The way this machine sucks up the water is so narrow that dog hair and other particles on the floor cant make it up to the tank and the machine will just spit it out as a gob of hair and fuzzies on your freshly shampooed carpet. Good news is that if you do Vacume before hand this machine cleans very well. I used it on my carpets to get stains out after my dog had anxiety attacks while I was away. It took a couple passes but it worked and it looks great. Now my friend borrows it from me.

QUESTION: CAN I USE THIS ON MY STONE FLOOR?

• Yes.

• i wouldn't, there's no way too manually stop the brushes, for some strange reason, bissell takes a different road, when the unit is on, the brushes are on, period. i don't know the coarseness of your stone, but i'm afraid the brushes would scratch a fine stone.

• I think it is designed for carpets. It may not remove all the water off the floor if it isn't completely level and the brushes may scratch.

• It will work fine. I have a mixture of tile and carpet, and go from one surface to the next with no issues. The brushes will not scratch a stone or tile floor.

QUESTION: HOW DOES IT TRAP PET HAIR?

• I worked great but my carpets where so dirty that some of it just clumped up on the carpet so I just reached down and picked up the clumps.

• Like with any deep cleaner, you should ALWAYS vacuum before using your deep cleaner. If you do not do this, it can clog up the device, and prevent it from reaching deeper into the carpet for the best clean.

QUESTION: THE SCREWS DID NOT COME WITH THE UNIT. WHAT SIZE SCREW SHOULD I USE?

• Someone has already said this, but I thought I didn't have the screws either. They were taped inside the handle and very hard to find. Double check your handle and you just may find them.

• Hi Lizzy777, mine is already assembled and the manual does not specify the screw size (handle only.) Here is the Hoover customer service number, I'm sure they could FedEx one out to you. As I recall, the screw is about 3 inches in length. Good luck, I know this is frustrating but you'll be happy with the vacuum once you get it up and running. • I haven't actually used it. I will tell you, it keeps falling out of the clasp and makes me crazy. But that's happened on every carpet cleaner I've ever had. I might try it though, now that you mentioned the car thing, and find out!
