Wonder sometimes puts fake scenes in its trailers to protect against spoilers. You would have been forgiven for thinking Loki did the same thing – especially as Tomcat Hiddleston's God of Mischief was shown sitting on an Asgardian throne in multiple teasers without that moment advent to hap in the display itself.

Director Kate Herron, though, has disclosed in an interview with Tv set Line that whatever cuts and deleted scenes were entirely about maintaining the tone of the Disney Plus series.

"They tended to lean a trifle more into comedy, and the scenes weren't bad. But when we were putt the cut together, they were quite near where [Loki] sees Frigga [dying]," Herron said.

"Obviously, we didn't deficiency to withdraw from that moment, because it's his mom eager and it's very emotional," Herron continued. "It's always tricky. The scenes weren't necessarily not serious, but they weren't quite posing right. That's wherefore on that point's sometimes bits that the great unwashe see that don't goal up in the show."

In previous days, Herron has also excited a little more about what did and didn't make it into Loki.

One so much instance was a planned sequence involving Misfire Minutes throwing (clock) hands with Loki and/or Sylvie in the Citadel at the End of Time.

"At one peak, we had a fight scene with Young woman Minutes in the Citadel; we had all kinds of satiate [for her]," Herron told Marvel's official situation.

One thing is for certain: Loki season 2 is a-coming. The reveal was arctic-stamped in the finale's mid-credits sting, but Herron is not returning – despite directing every six episodes of the first time of year. "I always planned to come through in and do this one flavor," Herron said.

It may be ane-and-through (with a a couple of things left-of-center on the cutting room deck), but Herron's impact cannot atomic number 4 understated: the Loki ending has fully yawning up the multiverse, introduced a Thanos-plane threat, and set in motion a chain of events that could totally alter the MCU As we sleep with information technology.
